“Mike and his team were always at hand throughout the build process and quick to find solutions to and problems that arose.

The final design is stunning, as well as addressing all of our needs for accessibility. The new boathouse has already made a massive difference to the young people using the Centre and will continue to do so for generations to come.”

John Cresswell, Ghyll Head Manager

Some of our most enjoyable work has been supporting charitable and social initiatives. While we have not charged for this work, we have been able to use it to gain experience and insight into other ways and walks of life.

At Ghyll Head, Cumbria, we designed a wheel chair accessible boathouse to allow children with a wide variety of special needs to access Lake Windermere. The project was conceived and designed as part of a charitable consortium of construction professionals and contractors, and won the Collaborative Construction Awards for both Cumbria and the North West.

Since opening, the facility has become a landmark of excellence in the area.

In Whalley Range, Manchester, we worked with Body Positive, a registered charity dedicated to supporting the lives of people, families and communities affected by HIV.

We helped the team to remodel the existing building on this site, in order to improve the facilities on offer to the community.

At Bishop Eton Primary School, Liverpool, we ran workshops with the children to explore ideas for their Garden. We organised volunteers to paint murals and improve the external play space.
