24 apartments, bootle


A category one sheltered block providing 24 new build apartments designed for independent living for the over 55s. This scheme has been developed for Plus Group Housing association, and in close collaboration with Sefton HMR.

The site is located on a brown-field site opposite Bootle Town Hall within the context of four listed buildings.

Great care was taken to ensure that the proposals complement the adjacent grade II listed hall. Light toned ‘split-faced’ block and red brick harmonise with the surrounding buildings, whilst the contemporary style creates a contrast with the Town Hall.

All apartments have achieved level 3 Code for Sustainable Homes and meet with Secured by Design and other Housing Corporation development standards and principles.
