norton hall, cheshire

The design draws heavily on traditional Georgian architecture, and the Cheshire farmhouse tradition. In terms of its form and mass, it is essentially a simple two storey building, with attic rooms and extended wings to the side.

The architectural principles of Georgian Design are followed. In particular, the use of the Golden Section to establish proportion.

As with all our projects, we worked closely with the client to achieve a solution that was aligned with the family’s requirements.

The scheme is within green belt, and is a replacement for an existing building. Negotiations with planners were undertaken from the earliest stages and speeded up the process of permission.
