Lying just west of Leeds, situated on the Caldervale line in West Yorkshire, New Pudsey Railway Station was originally opened in December 1967. As such due to years of heavy pedestrian traffic the outdated station was due for a revamp.

This project involved the refurbishment of the 60's ticket office, providing a new ticket desk, entrance and integrated canopy shelter. Although briefed as a refurbishment the project was completely transformed into a modern building with a brand new architectural language instilled.

Our longstanding position within the Northern Rail framework initially led to our appointment at detail design stage. It also enabled us to bring realise the design while enhancing the architectural language already set in place.

Our teams continuing policy of constant communication and collaboration with all parties involved, resulted in the project arriving on time and under budget. We have succeeded in our objectives, a vital piece of transport infrastructure has been transformed into a modern railway station fit to serve the people of Yorkshire for years to come.
